1. Privacy-First Architecture & Local Data Storage

MarketOPEN is built around a Privacy-First, Offline-Capable Architecture. You do not need to create an account or provide personal credentials to use the App.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device:

  • Trading Journal & Logbook: Trade notes, entry/exit levels, screenshots, strategy context, trade results, and personal lessons.
  • Calculator Inputs & History: Saved pip calculations, lot sizing configurations, and risk parameters.
  • Checklists & Pre-Market Rules: Customized trading checklists and completed daily prep items.
  • Watchlist & User Preferences: Selected currency pairs, notification thresholds, theme settings, and session options.

Data Ownership: All user-entered trading data, journal entries, and calculator metrics remain 100% local on your physical device. We do not upload, mirror, transmit, sell, or hold access to your trading journal or financial strategies on any remote server.

2. Information Collected Automatically & Network Fetching

When using online features (such as live currency strength rates, economic calendar updates, or market pulse feeds), the App communicates with remote servers.

A. Technical & Network Information

When the App connects to data endpoints, standard web request logs may automatically collect:

  • IP Address: Used for approximate geographic routing and server security rate-limiting.
  • Device & System Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, language setting, and screen resolution.
  • Request Timestamps: Date and time of API sync requests.

B. Device Permissions Disclosed

MarketOPEN requests only necessary permissions required for core app functions:

  • android.permission.INTERNET / Network Access: Required to fetch real-time market data, currency strength indicators, and economic calendar events.
  • android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS / Notifications: Optional. Used exclusively to deliver user-configured market session alerts, economic calendar reminders, and local trade check reminders.
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID / Advertising ID: Used by Google AdMob (where applicable) to serve advertisements and measure ad performance in compliance with Google Play Policies.

3. Third-Party Services & Processors

MarketOPEN integrates trusted third-party SDKs and service providers to support distribution, analytics, advertising, and market feeds. These third parties may collect non-personally identifiable or pseudonymized information according to their own privacy policies:

  1. Google Play Services & App Store: For app distribution, updates, and framework dependencies.
  2. Google AdMob: Serves banner and interstitial advertisements in free app tiers. AdMob may process your Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, and interaction data to serve, measure, or limit ads.
  3. Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google Cloud): Helps us diagnose technical crashes, monitor app performance, and analyze aggregate feature usage (e.g., most viewed session timers). No journal entries, trade notes, or prices are ever sent to Firebase.

  5. Market Data Proxy APIs (Twelve Data, Open ER API, Fawaz Ahmed CDN, Fair Economy): Serves public market rates and economic calendar schedules. No personal user data is transmitted to market data APIs.

4. Google Play Data Safety & Data Deletion Compliance

In strict compliance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Section 5.1):

A. Data Deletion & User Rights

  • Self-Service Deletion: Because all trading entries, journal logs, and custom watchlists are stored locally on your device, you can delete your data at any time by:
    1. Exporting a CSV backup (optional).
    2. Clearing App Data/Cache in your device settings (Settings > Apps > MarketOPEN > Storage > Clear Data).
    3. Uninstalling the App, which permanently deletes all local databases and cached files.
  • Remote Data Deletion Requests: For any anonymized technical logs or analytics records held by third-party processors, you may submit a deletion request by emailing . We will process and confirm your request within 30 days.

B. Data Retention Period

  • Local Device Data: Retained indefinitely until you clear app storage or uninstall the App.
  • Server Technical Logs: Proxy and CDN server logs (IP address, request headers) are retained for security audit purposes for a maximum of 30 days before automatic deletion.
