PipsPRO Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 14, 2026
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
PipsPRO is a trading-calculator, economic-calendar and trade-journal app published by Drevii (“Drevii”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the PipsPRO mobile app on Android. It does not cover websites, advertising content or services operated independently by another organisation, except where stated below.
Data controller / contact: Drevii, publisher of PipsPRO
Privacy contact: contact@drevii.com.ng
PipsPRO is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. Please do not use PipsPRO if you are under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
2. Summary
- PipsPRO does not require an account, login, name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or payment-card details.
- Your calculator inputs, calculation history, trade-journal entries, checklists, and preferences are stored on your device. Drevii does not receive them through PipsPRO’s core functions.
- The Android version uses third-party services for ads, notifications, crash reporting, and economic-calendar content. Those services may process device and online identifiers as described below.
- You can control advertising consent where available, reset or delete your Android advertising ID, turn off notifications, and delete local app data from your device settings.
3. Data PipsPRO processes
| Category | Examples | Why it is used | Where it goes / retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Data you keep in the app | Calculator values and history; trade-journal entries such as instrument, entry/exit, result, notes, tags and timestamps; checklists; settings and cached calendar data. | To provide the calculators, journal, history, reminders and settings you choose. | Stored locally in the app’s database and settings on your device. Drevii does not operate a server that receives this data. It stays there until you delete app data or uninstall the app, subject to device backup described in section 7. |
| Advertising data | IP address; Android advertising ID, app-set ID and other device/account identifiers; device/OS information; ad and app interactions; diagnostics. | To show, measure, limit frequency of, secure and troubleshoot ads; and, where permitted, personalise ads. | Google Mobile Ads / AdMob and the advertising partners selected in the AdMob consent message. See sections 5 and 6. |
| Push-notification data | Device push token or subscription ID, device/OS information, IP address, language/time-zone and notification delivery or interaction data. | To deliver PipsPRO notifications and operate notification preferences. | OneSignal. Device-level notification permission and your device settings control whether notifications are shown. |
| Crash and reliability data | Crash stack traces, relevant app state, app version, device model/OS, Crashlytics installation UUID and Firebase installation ID. | To diagnose, reproduce and fix crashes and reliability issues. | Google Firebase Crashlytics. Drevii can view reports in its Firebase project. Google states that Crashlytics retains crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. |
| Economic-calendar requests | IP address and normal network request metadata, such as device/browser request information. | To obtain the economic-calendar feed when you open or refresh it. | The configured calendar-feed providers: fxsignals.ng and, if the primary feed is unavailable, Fair Economy. The calendar content is cached locally for up to 12 hours. |
We do not intentionally send your trade-journal records, calculator inputs, financial projections, or simulation results to Drevii, AdMob, OneSignal, Firebase, or the calendar-feed providers.
4. How and why we use data
We use the data above to:
- provide the app’s requested features and remember your local settings;
- deliver optional app notifications;
- retrieve and display economic-calendar content;
- show and measure advertising, prevent fraud, cap frequency and maintain ad security;
- detect, diagnose and fix errors; and
- comply with law, enforce our rights, and protect the app, users and service providers.
We do not use your local trade-journal or calculator data to make automated decisions about you, assess creditworthiness, or provide investment advice.
5. Advertising, AdMob, and your choices
PipsPRO uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share IP address, product-interaction information, diagnostic information, and device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. For current detail on that SDK, see Google’s Google Play data disclosure and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Where required by law, including in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, PipsPRO asks for consent before personalised advertising or other consent-based ad processing. You may refuse consent, choose non-personalised/limited ads where available, or change your decision through Settings → Privacy Choices in the app. This entry point must remain available whenever Google requires it. You can also use Google’s My Ad Center and Android’s advertising-ID controls to manage ad personalisation or reset/delete your advertising ID.
The AdMob consent interface identifies the active ad partners and their processing purposes. The partners shown can change when Drevii changes the AdMob configuration; that in-app list is the current list of advertising recipients. We do not use a hidden list of advertising partners outside that consent flow.
6. Legal bases for EEA and UK users
If the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are:
- Consent: for personalised ads and other ad-related storage or processing where consent is required; and for notifications where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
- Performance of a contract / steps you ask us to take: to provide the app features you request, such as saving on-device information and fetching the calendar feed.
- Legitimate interests: to keep PipsPRO secure, prevent ad fraud, diagnose faults, improve reliability, respond to legal claims, and communicate essential service information. We balance these interests against your rights. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
7. Local storage and Android backup
PipsPRO is local-first, not cloud-account based. You can delete local app data through your device’s app-storage settings (for example, Settings → Apps → PipsPRO → Storage → Clear data) or by uninstalling the app. Clearing only the cache may not delete the journal, history, or preferences.
The current Android app permits Android Auto Backup. If you enable device backup, Android may back up app files and shared preferences—including locally saved PipsPRO data—to your Google Account or another device-backup service under that provider’s settings and policies. Drevii does not control those backups. You can manage device backup in Android settings. See Google’s Android Auto Backup documentation.
8. Sharing, sale, targeted advertising, and international transfers
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, because PipsPRO uses AdMob, the disclosure of device and online identifiers to Google and configured advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under some US state privacy laws. You can opt out by using Settings → Privacy Choices in PipsPRO where that option is available, and by using the advertising controls described in section 5. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children.
We share only the categories described in section 3, with the relevant service providers and partners: Google/AdMob and selected ad partners, OneSignal, Google Firebase Crashlytics, and the calendar-feed providers. Their processing is governed by their own notices and contractual terms. Relevant notices include Google Privacy & Terms, Firebase privacy information, and the OneSignal Privacy Policy.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, international transfers are made using an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, the UK Addendum/International Data Transfer Agreement, or another lawful transfer safeguard, as appropriate to the provider and transfer.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of personal data that Drevii controls; to object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a data-protection authority. EEA users may complain to their local supervisory authority; UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
For local app data, the practical way to exercise deletion and control is to clear PipsPRO’s app data or uninstall it. Drevii cannot retrieve local calculator or journal records because it does not receive them. For data held by third-party providers, we will help with a request where we can, but you may also need to use the provider’s own controls.
To make a request or appeal a decision about a privacy request, email contact@drevii.com.ng with the subject line Privacy Request – PipsPRO. We may need enough information to verify your request and will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorised agent where your state law permits; we may require proof of authority and verification.
Additional information for US state residents
Residents of California and other US states with applicable privacy laws may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing/targeted advertising, and—where applicable—limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. We do not offer a financial incentive for personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
The categories we may collect and disclose for advertising, diagnostics, notifications or calendar delivery are listed in section 3. The potentially relevant categories are identifiers, internet/network activity, app-interaction information, device/diagnostic information, and approximate location inferred from IP address. We do not collect your local journal data from your device. To opt out of sale/sharing or targeted advertising, use Settings → Privacy Choices. If that entry point is not displayed, email us at the address above and use your device and Google advertising controls.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process. PipsPRO uses HTTPS for the calendar feed, and Google states that the Mobile Ads SDK encrypts its data in transit using TLS. However, no device, network, or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device software current and use a screen lock, especially if you store trading information in PipsPRO.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, its data practices, or the law changes. We will post the revised policy at the privacy-policy link in PipsPRO and update the “Last updated” date. If a change requires new consent, we will ask for it before carrying out that consent-based processing.
